What else would you expect than a star-studded, genre-spanning line-up from the always-trusty New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival? Well, theyve dedelivered again, just as they have done year after year since its origin in 1970.
2014 saw another great line-up, with classic acts Bruce Springsteen, Robert Plant, Eric Clapton, Phish, and modern rockers Arcade Fire, Christina Aguilera’s mix of pop and soul, legendary hip hoppers Public Enemy, and the one, the only Mr. Bobby Womack just months before his passing.
The 2015 edition will see a line up boasting Sir Elton John, The Who, Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga together (just as they were on their killer, classic, jazzy album of duets, Cheek to Cheek), as well as local favorite Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue.
In addition to those classic names, the festival will see the likes of a re-re-united, Gwen Stefani-led No Doubt take the stage, modern country superstar Keith Urban, English acoustic singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, rapper T.I., and the soulful sounds of John Legend, plus tons (and we mean TONS more!).
Aside from the attention-grabbing names, hidden gemsin the bill were excited for include Irish ”Take Me to Church” songwriter Hozier, Allison Kraus, The O’Jays, and, of course, Jimmy Cliff, and Buddy Guy!
The 2015 New Orleans Jazz festival takes place April 24th to May 3rd at the New Orleans Fair Grounds.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, January 13th at 10 AM local time. Prices for single-day passes are set at $58 plus service fees (for a price of $67.40). Weekend packages and VIP options are also available.
